BKFC 31 DENVER: RICHMAN vs DOOLITTLE
Oct 15 2022 |
Van Vo is an American mixed martial artist with Vietnamese heritage from his fathers side and he enters the BKFC with 15 professional MMA fights. Vo is a lifelong student of all martial arts but mostly Aikido and Taekwondo which he picked up from his father. Despite only being around his dad for eight years of his life, the man’s influence on him runs deep. He came to the US in the 70s and met Vo’s mother and they settled down in Dayton, Ohio. They together idolized Bruce Lee.
Vo’s early training methods were very unorthodox as he was isolated in the woods of Ohio with no friends or training partners to help him sharpen his skills. He practiced alone in those woods while living in a log cabin - sounds like the beginning of a classic martial arts movie. He relocated to Texas and took professional fight before he was even ready to do so for the lack of amateur options at the time.
Vo will look to make his fights a car crash but will still keep his composure and use a tactical approach. Those may sound contradictory but watching his fighting style will help you understand. Tune in to watch the MMA vet anytime he’s slated to fight.
