Matt Russo or "Rambo" as he's more well known, is a rapidly rising contender in the men's flyweight division with nothing but quick finish wins against his competition. He surrounds himself with fellow BKFC talent like Bryan Duran and Howard Davis and with grenades for hands, this Florida kid is always bringing a show to the Squared Circle.
He comes forward hard with a kill or be killed mindset no matter who he stands across from. In his first two BKFC bouts, Russo has had less than four minutes of fight time which is unheard of at 125 unless you are John Dodson who Russo plans to overthrow in the future. "Rambo" throws every punch with ill intent and he is more than willing to take one to give one, having displayed a solid chin in recent bouts.
Russo is an anime guy being partial to Dragon Ball Z and specifically Goku's character who he has paid homage to wearing the orange trunks with blue trim accompanied by the "enlightenment" symbol seen on Goku's gee. He follows the lifestyle of the Saiyan from the same show who are enlightened martial artists that have ascended our reality after intense training and battle. A characteristic of a Japanese Saiyan is lightened hair after they have reached enlightenment.
We actually see some very high-level martial artists follow this same kind of mythology including Charles Oliveira who bleaches his hair before every fight and Israel Adesanya who constantly references anime shows like Death Note before and during his fights.
