Doug Coltrane began his career in MMA back in 2019. He’s got a well rounded skill set for the sport but he has had much more success in bare-knuckle. His only loss to date came at the hands of one of the very best active fighters on the BKFC roster in David Mundell, the champion of his middleweight division. It’s hard to imagine ‘ColdRed’ losing to anyone who doesn’t have a title shot in the near future.
Coltrane will mix tactical counter striking with heavy pressured offense depending on what his opponent gives him. He’s good at using his length and managing range as you saw in his BKFC debut against Eduardo Concepcion while also being able to execute precise strikes in the pocket. The ladder was demonstrated superbly against Jackson and Lacaze where he scored early knockouts.
Doug Coltrane rubs shoulders with some high level combat sports athletes including the former bantamweight champ, Keith Richardson and despite being a hard worker in the gym, he is a father first.
