Mike Heckert broke onto the bare-knuckle scene in late 2023 where he faced a big power-puncher in Scott Lampert and outclassed him. Heckert was an amateur MMA champion in the promotion, Blackout FC based out of his home state of Kansas. He has a great frame for middleweight at 6’0” and he tends to use his reach and speed advantage to overwhelm his opposition.
Check out his instagram for a ll kinds of technique tips and pointers for different styles of striking. Striking, defense, power, agility, it’s all in the bag of skills of the up and comer. Heckert’s fundamentals are solid and being under 30 years old in a growing sport bodes well for the Florida resident’s future.

Rules
Fighters are permitted to wrap and tape the wrist, thumb, and mid-hand. No gauze or tape can be within 1 inch of the knuckles.
Fighters will “Toe The Line” There are two lines, three feet apart, in the center of the ring where the fighters will start each round. The front foot will be on the line, and then the referee will instruct the fighters to “Knuckle Up” this means the beginning of the round/bout. More »
