“Big” Ben Rothwell is ready to let his fists do the talking.
At KnuckleMania 4 on April 27, the hard-hitting Kenosha, WI product will finally share the Squared Circle with Todd Duffee, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
The two longtime heavyweight fan-favorites were first set to do battle in December, but Rothwell was forced to withdraw from the bout due to illness. Rothwell and Duffee have since traded shots at each other through the media.
“Now, we’re going to settle it in the ring, and that’s the best place for us to settle our differences,” Rothwell says.
“I’m at such a level now where I keep my emotions out of fighting because I know that I’m going to be activated the night of the fight,” he adds. “Whether you’re super nice to me or you act stupid, you’re going to have to deal with me on fight night, whether you like it or not.”
Rothwell predicts that he’ll up his record to 3-0 against Duffee, and that he won’t be leaving Los Angeles without a third stoppage victory on his BKFC resume.
“I only fight one way – to get the knockout,” he says. “I’m very much looking to put on a stellar performance, and get a finish that will take me to the next fight that I want.”
That fight is against the winner of Mick Terrill’s and Lorenzo Hunt’s battle at Knuckle Mania 4 for Terrill’s BKFC World Heavyweight Championship. Rothwell would gladly fight either Terrill or Hunt. Both opponents are intriguing for their own reasons. Either way, Rothwell sees the BKFC World Heavyweight Title belt around his waist by the end of 2024.
“Absolutely,” Rothwell says. “The belt will be mine.”
