BKFC-60 RESULTS: FRANCO TENAGLIA, DANNY CHRISTIE AND ELLIS SHEPHERD WIN BKFC TITLE FIGHTS IN THE UNITED KINGDOM

Milton Keynes, United Kingdom (April 6, 2024) Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, (BKFC), The World’s Fastest Growing Combat Sports Promotion, presented another tremendous event to their massive United Kingdom fanbase on Saturday, April 6 in front of a huge crowd at the Planet Ice Arena in Milton Keynes and broadcast globally on the BKFC App.
Headlining BKFC-60, undefeated Argentinian Franco Tenaglia, (3-0) defeated England’s James Lilley, (8-2), earning the vacant BKFC Lightweight European Title. Dropping the more experienced Lilley in the first round, the aggressive Tenaglia would seek to impose his will however he would be met with a strong attack throughout the action-packed world class battle.
Following the tremendous fight that had fans on their feet cheering throughout, Tenaglia was awarded a majority decision victory by scores of 49-45, 48-46 and 47-47.
Co-featured at BKFC-60, Danny Christie, (4-1), wasted no time in his BKFC Light Heavyweight United Kingdom Titledefense against David Round, (3-3). Sending Round to the canvas early in the opening stanza from a massive right hand, Christie would be declared the winner at 1:38 with Round unable to defend himself from a barrage of punches incoming via the champion.
Competing in the BKFC-60 Feature Attraction for the vacant BKFC Featherweight United Kingdom Title, Ellis Shepherd, (3-1), defeated fan favorite Gary Fox, (2-2). Fighting through a bad cut at the top of his head in round one, Fox would control the early action.
However, Shepherd would take control in round two, dropping the badly bleeding Fox in round three. A true bare-knuckle warrior, Fox would fight to the final bell however Shepherd’s smart attack would earn him the unanimous decision by scores of 49-46 on all three judge’s scorecards.
Fighting in the light heavyweight division, Matt Hodgson, (2-2), took control of an action-packed fight with Chad Wasserman, (1-2), in the third round. Drilling Wasserman to the canvas with multiple, battering uppercuts, the impressive Hodgson was declared the victor at 1:38 of the round.
Bantamweight Jonno Chipchase, (2-0), bloodied the game Robbie Brown, (1-2), in the opening round with multiple battering shots to the head. Following the round citing a bad left eye injury, the ringside physician stopped the fight.
Popular cruiserweight Dawid Oskar, (4-1), dropped previously undefeated Conor Cooke, (2-1) with a huge left hand at the end of round one. Cooke did not beat the count as fan favorite Oskar was awarded the knockout victory.
Competing in the cruiserweight division, Rob Boardman, (5-0) sent Danny McIntosh, (1-1), to the canvas with a massive left hook to the body garnering the technical knockout win at 1:13 of the first round.
Kicking off the main card in the lightweight division Ben Bonner, (2-1), dropped Ray Putterill, (1-1) with a sensational counter left hand to score the one punch, first round (1:08) knockout victory.
Rounding out the prelims in the middleweight division, Toby Bindon, (2-2), overwhelmed the valiant Marcos Pond, (1-1), with three knockdowns, once in the first round and twice in the second. The final knockdown earned Bindon the technical knockout victory at 1:41 of the stanza.
Fighting in the heavyweight division, Jack Draper, (3-1-1), stopped ‘Bubu’ with a huge right, left combination winning by technical knockout at 1:14 of the first round.
Opening the prelims in the lightweight division, southpaw Bartek Kanabey, (2-0) quickly dropped BKFC debuting Bakhtyor Kudratov, (1-0), with a big right hand in the opening stanza and was awarded the TKO victory when referee Aaron Glenn stopped the fight.
