Puebla, Mexico (May 23, 2024) Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), The World’s Fastest Growing Combat Sports Promotion, makes their highly anticipated return to Mexico with an action packed 10-fight BKFC Fight Night event from the Explanada Puebla Auditorium in Puebla MX this Saturday night, May 25 and broadcast globally on the BKFC App (8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT).
BKFC Fight Night Puebla, Mexico is the company’s first promotion in Mexico since February 2019 and continues the extraordinary international growth BKFC has attained over the last six years.

Headlining Saturday night’s card is a bantamweight clash between BKFC debuters Rodolfo ‘Fito’ Rubio of Mexico City, MX and Luis Rey ‘Corazon De Leon’ Gallegos of Monterrey, MX. Fighting mostly in popular Latin American MMA promotion, Lux Fight League, Rubio has a professional MMA record of 19-13-1. Also fighting mostly in the Lux Fight League, Gallegos has compiled an MMA record of 9-8.
Co-featured in the cruiserweight division, Julian ‘Pitbull Jr.’ Fernandez of Tijuana, MX battles Lino Sanchez. Standing 6’3” and fighting in the highly competitive professional boxing rings of Mexico, Fernando has compiled a record of 15-4 with 12 knockouts. His ledger includes clashes with then undefeated top contenders Frank Sanchez, Arslanbek Makhmudov and Tom Schwarz. Fighting out of Chihuahua, MX, Sanchez is 2-2 in professional boxing, both wins coming by first knockout.
Fighting in the featherweight division, Roman ‘Gallo Negro’ Cordova of Mexico City, MX faces off against Donny Matos of Villahermosa Tabasco, MX. In just four years, Cordova has amassed a professional MMA record of 12-16, while Matos fighting since 2012 boasts an MMA record of 26-12.
Middleweights will see action with Luis ‘Huicho’ Castaneda of Puerto Vallarta, MX battling Rudo ‘El Rudo’ Tovar, (0-1). Fighting in bare-knuckle Muay Thai matches, Castaneda amassed 27 knockout victories. Tovar also holds a professional MMA record of 7-8-1.
In a lightweight battle, Juan ‘El Mazo’ Alvarez of Monterrey, MX clashes with Carlos ‘Zurdo’ Giner, of Mexico. Alvarez has a wealth of high-level Muay Thai experience while Giner is a professional boxer with a professional record of 2-2 and an amateur slate of 40-3-1.
Competing in the bantamweight division, Cesar Vazquez of Reynosa, MX faces Eduardo ‘Chino’ Meneses, of Puebla, MX. Vazquez holds a professional MMA record of 7-4-0, while Meneses will be making his professional MMA debut with an amateur record of 2-3.
Middleweight Sergio Perez ‘Cachorro’ Jimenez of Mexico will battle Mario ‘Malandro’ Martinez of Puebla, MX. Martinez has a professional MMA record of 3-3.
Fighting in the lightweight division, Beto Saniba of Puebla, MX faces Roberto Sinko of Mexico. In the bantamweight division, Jose ‘Pitbull Kid’ Lopez battles Juan ‘Pony’ Campos. Opening the card in the flyweight division, Marcelo Antonio Perez clashes with Nicolas Diaz.

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) is the first promotion allowed to hold a legal, sanctioned, and regulated bare knuckle event in the United States since 1889. Unlike other fighting organizations and combat sports internationally which claim to be “bare knuckle”, but require wraps, tape, and gauze; BKFC is true to its word as fighters are not allowed to wrap their hands to within one inch of the knuckle. This makes BKFC unquestionably the truest form of bare knuckle fighting.
