The BKFC World Bantamweight Championship is up for grabs Friday when the sport’s two best 135-pound fighters lock horns in the Co-Main Event of BKFC 62 in Hollywood, FL, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App. Keith “The Rockstar” Richardson (4-0, 3 KOs) defends his title for the first time against Alberto “El Indio” Blas, who’s 4-0 with four first-round finishes in his BKFC career. We checked in with some of BKFC’s most savvy fighters to see what they’re thinking heading into Friday’s can’t-miss Co-Main Event, LIVE on The BKFC App.
Zeb “CWB” Vincent: Keith Richardson wins because of his talent and skill alone.
Crystal “The Lovely” Van Wyk: My prediction is Keith takes the win. He’s tough and relentless and will be outworking him from start to finish. This will be a great fight, though, and a great matchup.
Tommy “The Farmer” Strydom: I think Keith Richardson is going to stay the champ.
Dylan "The Villain" Schulte: I think Blas is going to win by early rounds stoppage.
Gabrielle “Jersey’s Warrior Princess” Roman: I’m going with Richardson.
Esteban “Mohawk” Rodriguez: I believe Blas will get the KO.
JR “The Lion” Ridge: Keith Richardson by third-round KO.
Wanya “The Rated R Superstar” Reid: Richardson by TKO. That guy can fight; we made our debut on the same card.
“Royal” Ryan Reber: I’ve got “The Rockstar,” just because Blas is a (expletive) who hasn’t fought anyone yet. He’ll probably shoot in once he starts getting whipped (laughs).
Blake “Big Boy” LaCaze: I like Richardson in any fight he’s in!
Josh “The Hellboy” Huber: I'm picking Richardson over Blas because of experience and the fact that Richardson hasn't lost for over five years.
Ramiro Figueroa: For the fight between Keith Richardson and Alberto Blas, both of whom are great undefeated fighters, I would lean more towards Alberto winning via TKO or KO in Round 2 or 3. The reason is that age can play a significant factor in the fight game. Fighters are generally in their prime from ages 25 to about 35, and most careers tend to wind down around ages 38 to 40. Therefore, I believe the younger fighter, Alberto, is likely to come out victorious.
Noah Cutter: I’d like to pick the Florida boys for the win, but I think the champion’s experience is going to retain it for them. That is unless it’s a close decision; I don’t think the champs want that with the Florida judges in my opinion.
James "Get Down" Brown: I don’t know much about Blas. He seems to be sharp and a southpaw. The key to victory is just to box. Third-round, doctor TKO for Blas.
