Connor Tierney is all smiles after striking gold.

On Saturday, “The Brum Town Bomber” earned the inaugural BKFC United Kingdom Welterweight Championship by defeating the previously unbeaten Jonny Graham in the Main Event of BKFC 64 at the sold-out Skydome Arena in Coventry, England.

“There’s no nicer belt in bare knuckle than the one around my waist,” the proud Birmingham, England product says after his historic victory.

“This belt solidifies my place in bare knuckle fighting history as the first ever owner of this championship. Flash forward 20 or 30 years, this belt will be worn by a lot of great fighters – but I’ll always be the first.”

Tierney’s quest for gold isn’t over yet. Next on his wishlist is the inaugural BKFC Europe Welterweight Championship belt.

“I want to hold both belts at the same time, which will put me in a good position to win the BKFC World Welterweight Championship next year,” he says.

“I want to cement my legacy as the first ever BKFC UK Champion, the first ever BKFC Europe Champion – and then go on to win the BKFC World Title.

“I want all three belts before I retire.”
