Donald Sanchez has gold on his mind.
To be more specific – the gold BKFC World Middleweight Championship belt that’s currently around the waist of David Mundell.
“I want that belt, man. I’m going to take that belt,” Sanchez says after recently earning his third straight victory at BKFC 59 in his native Albuquerque, NM.
“I was born for this. Mundell is just holding onto it. He’s knocking everybody out, but I’ve never been knocked out, so I’d really like to see him try.”
Mundell is doubtless one of the most dangerous and accomplished fighters on the BKFC roster. His 8-1 record in the Squared Circle places him third on the BKFC Pound-for-Pound Rankings.
Still, Sanchez’s prediction for a possible showdown with Mundell is simple.
“I think I’m way more technical than him, so I’ll be able to out-box him and he won’t be able to throw those wild punches,” he says.
“I don’t think he’s gotten tested the way I’m going to test him. Nothing but respect for him; I’d just love to prove that I’m the better fighter.”
