Dustin Pague doesn’t take fighting in the Main Event for granted.
On May 17, he’s eager to close the show in style at BKFC Fight Night Omaha in his Main Event matchup against Carlos Trinidad-Snake, LIVE worldwide from Liberty First Arena in Omaha, NE.
“People don’t remember wins nearly as much as they remember crazy fights. Obviously I hate losing with all my heart. I hate losing more than I like winning, but putting on a show is key to being successful in this sport,” the Carlisle, PA product says.
“I also have so many friends and family that support me. Nobody wants a boring win; it’s my job to go out there and entertain them, give them something to remember.”
Major title implications are on the line in Omaha. Pague is the No. 4 contender in the stacked BKFC welterweight division, while Trinidad-Snake holds the No. 2 contender spot. Pague hopes a fourth straight impressive win will put him next in line to face BKFC World Welterweight Champion Austin Trout later this year.
Pague earned a few title belts along his road to the UFC. Now, the former MMA standout has his sights set on the BKFC World Welterweight Title.
“I always set goals for myself when I start something new, and my goal when I signed with BKFC was to be a World Champion,” he says.
“That’s what I’ve got my eyes on right now.”
