Elvin “El Bandido” Brito smashed his way back into the spotlight at BKFC Fight Night Clearwater on Friday.
At the sold-out event in Clearwater, FL, Brito needed just 40 seconds to snap his two-fight losing streak against the previously undefeated Ja’Far Fortt. The fight was called to a stop after Brito delivered nearly two dozen unanswered blows to the head of Fortt.
“That was two years worth of pent-up frustration from all the disrespect that has come my way. I’ve been judged and disrespected by so many people that don’t even know what they’re looking at,” a fired-up Brito says.
“I really just planned on punishing my opponent. Maybe on paper it looked like a good matchup. But if you know who I am, you’d know that’s a massive mismatch.”
Now that he’s firmly back in the win column, the former BKFC World Welterweight Champion wants his belt back. The title, of course, is currently held by former World Boxing Association champion Austin “No Doubt” Trout.
“It’s an injustice that somebody else is holding my belt, if even for a little while,” he says. “I just want my belt back, man, and I’m coming for it!”
