The spotlight is on Famez as he prepares to rack up his third straight BKFC victory in his hometown of Miami.
The 26-year-old welterweight returns to action against Brandon Meyer at BKFC Fight Night Miami on March 15 under the bright lights at Vivo! Dolphin Mall, LIVE on The BKFC App.
It wasn’t long ago that Famez had dropped three straight fights in the Squared Circle. The difference between now and then is simple; Famez was coasting on his talent.
“I’m locked in now. Now that I’m locked in, I think we’re going to keep on winning,” he says.
“Before, I didn’t have any discipline – I just came to fight,” he adds. “I showed up to fight whenever it was time to fight, but I lacked the discipline that you need to have as a champion.”
Famez is now more focused than ever. He predicts another stoppage victory over Meyer on March 15. Another big win will put him closer to the Top 5 rankings in the stacked BKFC welterweight division, but he’s just focused on the task at hand.
“I’m really not looking too far ahead – I’m just taking my wins as they come,” he says. “That being said, I don’t see myself losing this year.”
