Howard “HD” Davis is back to his winning ways.
On Friday, the Broward County, FL product returned to the win column with a second-round TKO victory over Sean Wilson in the Main Event of BKFC Fight Night Miami at the sold-out Vivo! Dolphin Mall in Miami.
Davis improved to 6-2-1 with the win, and officially turned the page on his December loss to Kai Stewart for the BKFC World Featherweight Championship.
It’s not that Davis doesn’t care about getting another shot at BKFC gold. He sees the 145-pound belt around his waist within the next 12 months – and he wants to leave a path of destruction on his journey to the throne.
First up on Davis’ hit list, “HD” says, is James “Get Down” Brown, who recently improved to 3-0 in the Squared Circle.
“(Brown) called me out before I fought Sean. He said I’m fighting some dude off the street, not acknowledging the fact that Sean has more professional fights than all of us put together. He called me out out of nowhere, but that’s not smart. He thinks he’s the boogeyman and everyone is running away from him. If you want to fight, then come on, let’s fight,” Davis says.
“Obviously I want to fight Kai Stewart, Louie Lopez and Bryan Duran, but it’s going to play out how it plays out. Whoever BKFC wants me to fight – it could be Brandon Allen, I don’t care at all – I’m down for whatever as long as it leads me back to the title.”
