It’s getting hard to doubt Bryce “Baby Yaga” Henry.
At BKFC 57, the 23-year-old Broward County, FL product improved his spotless record to 4-0 by taking out the previously unbeaten Robbie Peralta at the sold-out Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL.
“I went in there and did what I said I was going to do, as I’ve always done,” the undefeated lightweight contender says.
“I said I was going to have fun, I said I was going to hurt him, and I said I was going to make it look easy. That’s exactly what I did.”
Henry is just 23, but he already sees himself as the uncrowned king of the stacked BKFC lightweight division. It appears the only man standing in his way may be Tony “Loco” Soto, who’s undefeated in six trips to the Squared Circle since his debut in 2021.
“I love (that matchup),” Henry says.
“Tony fought one of my teammates, Wayna Reid, who I’ve known since I was 10 years old. Reid is my brother, so I’m going to get that win back for us ... I don’t see (Soto) passing the second or third round.”
Henry can’t wait to have the BKFC belt around his waist. It will make him a household name for combat sports fans around the world and will bring him massive opportunities inside and outside the BKFC Squared Circle. More importantly, “Baby Yaga” says, it will give his followers inspiration.
“The belt will show kids that they can do whatever they want if they set their mind to it. Nobody wanted me to do bare knuckle at first, and look how I’m doing. I’m doing great, and I want the next generation to feel that too,” Henry says.
“The belt will mean a lot. I’ve still got huge goals after that, but it will mean a lot.”
