John Dodson continues to make history.
Dodson, the first-ever BKFC World Men’s Flyweight Champion, represented BKFC in a non-title, bare knuckle bout against Japanese combat sports superstar Takaki Soya at the recent RIZIN Fighting Federation event at the legendary Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan.
“It was an awesome experience,” says Dodson, who upped his BKFC record to 4-0-1 with his unanimous decision victory.
“I’m happy to show the heart, determination and skill set that BKFC Champions hold. Takaki was a very game opponent who’s been knocking dudes out left and right, but he couldn’t stand the test of time with me.”
What’s next for Dodson?
“I’m down to go ahead and do whatever,” he offers.
“I want to beat up as many people as possible and continue on this vicious reign that I have.”
Dodson is excited about the prospect of fighting for BKFC again in Japan. He’d also love to enter the Squared Circle elsewhere overseas, like in Spain, where BKFC will make its hugely anticipated debut on Oct. 12 at the historic Marbella Arena.
“I just want to stay on top,” he says.
“I want to continue being Champion and representing Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship as well as possible, showcasing the violence and brutality of the sport.”
