Sturgis was a success for Roberto Armas.
On Saturday at the legendary Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota, the San Benito, TX fighter returned to the win column with a third-round stoppage victory over fellow fan-favorite bantamweight Jack “Shady” Grady.
BKFC 63 was the most-attended event in BKFC history. Ringside were none other than BKFC Founder/President David Feldman and combat sports icon/BKFC Partner Conor McGregor.
Armas knew he had to make a major statement on Saturday in the Squared Circle. That’s exactly what he did, sending Grady to the canvas six times en route to the TKO stoppage in Round 3.
“The opportunity to fight at Sturgis, and the exposure that came with it, is what I was most excited about for this fight,” Armas says.
“Now I’m just looking to get back in there soon.”
Armas is ready for all comers in the bustling BKFC bantamweight division.
“At some point or another I want to open my own gym, so I want to make a name for myself as somebody who doesn’t turn down fights and takes every opportunity to go out there and fight for the crowd.”
