Sean “P-Town” Wilson is ready to have some fun.
On Friday night, he hunts for his fourth BKFC victory against Emeka Ifekandu at BKFC Fight Night Omaha, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App from Liberty First Arena in Wilson’s hometown of Omaha, NE.
Wilson is eager to turn the page on his most recent fight – a second-round stoppage loss to Howard Davis in the Main Event of BKFC Fight Night Miami in March.
“I was depressed after that. I’m my own harshest critic, but I didn’t want to hear from anyone about anything after that,” Wilson says.
Wilson doesn’t make excuses for his loss. He knows exactly what happened, and he’s ready to get back to his old, winning ways this weekend in the Squared Circle.
“At that time, all I was hunting for was the title. I was on a roll, and I overlooked Howard Davis. But with this fight, I’m well trained and I’m ready,” Wilson says.
“I’m not taking anything for granted in training. More importantly, I’m doing this for me now. I’ve got a different mindset now. I’m taking it extremely seriously, but I’m just trying to have fun and leave it all on the table.”
Nothing is more fun for Wilson than winning, and that’s exactly what he expects on Friday night.
“Emeka is tough, but I’m going to fight smart, outhustle and outlast him,” he says. “I’m looking for the stoppage, but I’m ready to grind it out for five rounds too.”
