Timmy Mason kicked BKFC 63 off on a high note.
The hard-hitting Anaconda, MT product needed just 17 seconds to electrify the sold-out crowd with a lightning-fast KO over Gabriel Freyre in the opening bout of Saturday’s action at the sold-out event in Sturgis, SD.
“I figured I was going to catch him and put him down, but it happened a lot quicker than I thought,” Mason says.
“That was the outcome that I expected; it just happened faster than I expected.”
Now, Mason is looking for a quick turnaround. He wants to rapidly climb BKFC's 145-pound rankings and bring home big paychecks for his work in the Squared Circle.
Mason, 30, sees the BKFC World Featherweight Championship belt in his future. And he’s more than happy to challenge the current champ – and fellow Montana fighter – “King” Kai Stewart for the belt.
“I know I’d smoke Kai,” Mason says with the confidence of a future BKFC World Champion.
“People outside Montana might not know that, but everybody in Montana knows that I’d beat Kai and take the belt.”
