Bryan “El Gallo” Duran doesn’t hold the belt yet, but he already believes he’s the most dangerous man in BKFC’s stacked featherweight division.
He has a chance to prove he’s the top dog at 145 pounds when he meets BKFC World Featherweight Champion Kai Stewart in the Main Event of BKFC 62 in Hollywood, FL on June 21, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.
Both Duran (6-0) and Stewart (5-0) are undefeated in the Squared Circle, but that’s where Duran says the similarities end.
“Respectfully, I haven’t been impressed by what I’ve seen out of Kai in there. He knows how to survive, but he’s never faced anyone like me in his life,” Duran says.
“I bring the hunger, I bring the strength, I bring the will, I bring the reason why,” he adds. “Most importantly, I bring the power – and that’s God given.”
Duran is the only fighter in BKFC history to stop his first six opponents in the Squared Circle, and he sees that record-setting trend continuing against Stewart. Duran is excited to bring home the belt – but the red-hot featherweight contender says he’s just getting warmed up.
“It’ll mean a lot because of where I come from, but this is just the beginning of my career – there’s so much more that I’m going to do with BKFC,” he says.
“There are so many bigger fights to come, so many massive moves to be made. This fight is just to prove that I’m the man.”
