William Albrecht jumped at the opportunity to fight Josh Dyer.
“I’m really excited because this is the kind of fight that I’ve been asking for to prove myself with BKFC,” Albrecht says heading into his BKFC 63 showdown with Dyer on Aug. 3 in Sturgis, SD, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.
“I’ve always wanted to test myself against the best competition available,” he adds. “Josh Dyer thinks he’s the man. He’s done pretty good in bare knuckle. But I’m out to show I’m better.”
“Pretty good” might be an understatement on the success of Dyer, the No. 2 contender in the stacked BKFC light-heavyweight division. Dyer has only lost once in the Squared Circle, and that came against Lorenzo Hunt at BKFC 17.
Albrecht predicts he’ll score a second straight stoppage victory over Dyer in Sturgis. He’s looking to make a statement because he knows another impressive performance this summer will move him a big step closer to BKFC gold.
“I want to be in title contention after this,” he says.
“That belt will mean the world to myself, my family and my team.”
