Zach “Shark Attack” Calmus will remember Saturday night for the rest of his life.
On Saturday, under the bright lights at the legendary Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT, Calmus earned his third straight stoppage victory in the BKFC Squared Circle.
The proud Gloucester, MA product has dreamed about fighting for BKFC in New England since he signed with the organization in 2021.
On Saturday, his dream became a reality.
“I’m just so blessed to be with BKFC, and I couldn’t be happier to see the position that the organization now has in New England,” says Calmus, who won his third straight with a third-round KO over Connor McKenna.
“I’ve been praying for this since I started with BKFC, and it’s amazing to see it come to fruition.”
It’s safe to say that BKFC will be back at the iconic Mohegan Sun. It’s even safer to say that Calmus will be a part of that event.
With three straight stoppage victories under his belt, Calmus is ready to make his run to the top of the super-sized BKFC heavyweight division. He knows he can hang with the best bare knuckle fighters on the planet, so he’s just rolling with the punches.
“I’m not a matchmaker; I’m a really great fighter,” he says with a smile. “Mr. Nate Shook does a wonderful job matchmaking every single BKFC event – he does an amazing job. I think he’s the best matchmaker in the world, so whatever BKFC wants me to do, I’m going to do it.
“Just send me a name and a contract.”
