Better known as ‘Famez,’ Joshua Alvarez is a bare-knuckle boxer through and through. ‘Famez’ made his bare knuckle debut back in June of 2015. As soon as it was possible for the bantamweight, Alvarez joined the BKFC and has earned wins by just about every way one can in the organization.
Equipped with excellent counter striking and cardio, ‘Famez’ will usually be out thrown and out landed but his accuracy and power will overwhelm his opponent. Alvarez also has quite a chin which keeps him in every fight and don’t be surprised if he seems to be losing until he lands the fight ending blow. ‘Famez’ is one of these fighters that is truly dangerous from bell to bell and his unpredictable style is his biggest asset.
Recently, Alvarez tried his hand in Karate but it may be too slowly paced and point related for the natural-born brawler. He simply wants to show up, get violent, entertain the crowd and get his hand raised. Expect an electric atmosphere when ‘Famez’ toes the line.

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) is the first promotion allowed to hold a legal, sanctioned, and regulated bare knuckle event in the United States since 1889.

Rules
Fighters are permitted to wrap and tape the wrist, thumb, and mid-hand. No gauze or tape can be within 1 inch of the knuckles.
Fighters will “Toe The Line” There are two lines, three feet apart, in the center of the ring where the fighters will start each round. The front foot will be on the line, and then the referee will instruct the fighters to “Knuckle Up” this means the beginning of the round/bout. More »
