Pro MMA Record: 37-14-0 (Win-Loss-Draw)
There aren’t many men who strike fear into the hearts of bare-knuckle fighters quite like ‘Big’ Ben Rothwell. With a professional MMA record of 37-14, and a career that began in 2001, Rothwell has fought some absolute legends in the MMA heavyweight world. Tim Sylvia, Andrei Arlovski, Cain Velasquez, Alistair Overeem, the list goes on and on. Needless to say the BKFC is happy to have a brawl-heavy striker in its heavyweight division.
Ben Rothwell stands at 6 '4”, has one of the bigger reaches in any division and punches harder than a mack truck. Since he’s entered the BKFC, he has made it look easy against some very high-level competition. He debuted against Bobo O’Bannon at BKFC 30 and finished the dangerous heavyweight in 19 seconds with one of the most disgusting uppercuts you will ever see. Rothwell brings calculated pressure but doesn’t worry much about the shots coming back at him because he has a tried and true chin between his shoulders.
Rothwell grew up in Kenosha, Wisconsin and was raised by parents in the restaurant industry. They ran a catering company while he pursued his mixed martial arts dreams but it wasn’t without struggle. He suffered with disease and obesity as a young child and it was this struggle that taught the young Rothwell that he loved violence but in a controlled setting. His bullies created a kid that learned and implemented self-defense at an early age who went on to become a true threat and potential champion in the toughest fight league known on planet Earth.
