James Brown has had a dominant combat sports career over two sports since 2020. His full pro career dates back to 2016 and he fought amateur for a day short of a full year before that. Having a seven-fight win streak before stepping into the Squared Circle is an impressive look on its own and once you see that six of those wins came by T/KO, it’s no wonder he’s in the BKFC. He’s fought high level competition too. In fact, he was welcomed into the world of professional mixed martial arts by Da’Mon Blackshear, a top level submission artist who has scored one of just three wins by twister in the UFC. Of course the striker was finished by submission in that case.
‘Get Down’ Brown has had some legendary looks in the gym as well. He has trained with Henri Hooft, Kamaru Usman, Cowboy Cerrone and many more. He actually trains out of 20x UFC veteran Derek Brunson’s gym, Brunson MMA & Fitness based out of his hometown of Wilmington North Carolina. It would seem that Brown lives in the gym with his Instagram being flooded with pictures dating back to 2016, the same year he turned pro in MMA.
